Allstate Insurance Co. recently released their sixth annual “Allstate America’s Best Drivers Report” which ranks the country’s 200 largest cities in terms of its residents’ car accident frequency. The study uses Allstate’s claims data to rank the cities.
Ranking in at first with the nation’s best drivers is Fort Collins, Colorado. Fort Collins residents are, on average, in a car accident every 14 and a half years. Second to last in the study was Baltimore, Maryland, with residents 79 percent more likely to be in an accident than the national average. Last in the list is Washington, D.C.. Residents of the nation’s capital are, on average, in an accident every 5 years and are 95 percent more likely to be in a car accident compared to the national average.
Accidents can occur when you least expect them, so it is important to always be protected with quality car insurance.
